Dental emergency? We'll get you out of pain — today.
Toothaches, knocked-out teeth, swelling, and broken fillings don't wait — and neither do we. Call now and a friendly member of our team will guide you through what to do and find you a same-day spot.

Stay calm — we'll talk you through every step on the phone.
When to go to the ER instead: if you have swelling that affects breathing or swallowing, uncontrolled bleeding, or a serious facial injury, call 911 or go to your nearest hospital emergency department right away.
What counts as a dental emergency?
If you're unsure, call us anyway — we'd much rather reassure you than have you wait in discomfort. These are the situations that usually need same-day attention.
Severe or throbbing toothache
Pain that won't ease with over-the-counter relief, or that keeps you up at night.
A knocked-out tooth
An adult tooth that's been completely dislodged — the fastest emergency to act on.
A broken or cracked tooth
A fracture with pain, a sharp edge, or a sizable piece missing.
Bleeding that won't stop
Ongoing bleeding from the gums or mouth after an injury or extraction.
Facial or gum swelling
Swelling around a tooth, jaw, or cheek — a possible sign of infection.
A lost filling or crown
An exposed, sensitive, or sharp tooth after dental work has come loose.
First-aid steps while you reach us
A little calm action makes a real difference before you arrive. Find your situation below — then call so we can take it from here.
Toothache
Calm the pain while you reach us.
- 1Rinse gently with warm salt water to clean the area.
- 2Floss carefully to remove any trapped food.
- 3Use a cold compress on the outside of your cheek for swelling.
- 4Take over-the-counter pain relief as directed — never place a tablet directly on the gum.
- 5Call us so we can find the cause and ease it properly.
Knocked-out tooth
Act within the hour — every minute counts.
- 1Pick the tooth up by the crown (the top), never the root.
- 2If it's dirty, rinse briefly with milk or water — don't scrub.
- 3Try to slot it gently back into the socket and bite on clean gauze.
- 4If you can't, keep it moist in milk or tucked inside your cheek.
- 5Call us immediately — reaching us within an hour gives the best chance of saving it.
Broken or cracked tooth
Protect the tooth and ease discomfort.
- 1Save any broken pieces and rinse your mouth with warm water.
- 2Apply a cold compress to reduce swelling and numb the area.
- 3Cover a sharp edge with dental wax or sugarless gum to protect your tongue.
- 4Avoid chewing on that side until we've seen you.
- 5Call us to arrange a prompt repair before the crack worsens.
Lost filling or crown
Keep the tooth comfortable until we restore it.
- 1Keep the crown if you have it — we may be able to re-bond it.
- 2Clean the tooth and the inside of the crown gently.
- 3Dab a little clove oil on the sensitive area to soothe it.
- 4A dab of dental cement from the pharmacy can cover it temporarily.
- 5Book in soon — an exposed tooth is vulnerable to further damage.
Dental abscess
Swelling and infection need prompt care.
- 1Rinse with warm salt water several times to draw out some discomfort.
- 2Use a cold compress on the outside of the cheek for swelling.
- 3Do not try to drain it yourself or place heat on the area.
- 4Take pain relief as directed and keep hydrated.
- 5Call us right away — and seek urgent medical care if swelling affects breathing or swallowing.
These steps are general guidance, not a diagnosis. The most important step is always to call us so we can advise on your exact situation.
